Heidi, thanks for your response to my comments on pancreatic

removal & islet cell transplant: I've already been turned down

for this procedure, as (a) they took out over 65% of my pancreas

(tail) in '80 and ( what's left of it has too few " good " cells to

harvest. I also do not yet have diabetes, and I heard somewhere

(I think!) that diabetes is one of the criteria for the islet cell pro-

cedure. If anyone knows to the contrary, let us know. I continue

to feel that this is the only procedure going right now that actually

can effect a " cure " for diabetes, if not CP. Thanks 4 writing,
