Guest guest
Rhonda, I just had surgery on the 9th. Right after yours and it has been rough! My doc said the pancreas doesn't like to be messed with and that it takes a while before it settles down. I am getting some better and the pain is getting more tolerable. I do believe I will always have pain though. Mine is just going to be chronic and with me until they remove my pancreas! I was hoping after this surgery I would have no more pain but alas, I am out of luck! I do have reduced nausea and vomiting. I had a open sphincteroplasty. I have pancreas divisum. I have only thrown up really badly 2 days after my surgery. So that is MUCH better! I was having vomiting episodes about 2-3 times a week. So I do have something positive from the surgery and the pain is not as bad as it was before, it is more like it was when I was first diagnosed. I hope you are feeling better and that the pain lessens every day. I just wanted you to know you aren't alone! Take care, Angie in S C " The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything that comes along their way. Guest guest
Wow alot of you are alot worse off than I. I have never vomited with my pancreatitis. Even when my lipase was elevated to 8,000 & I was hospitalized I never vomited. I did have alot of diahrrea though. God bless all of you.
