Guest guest
If the poster means " Star Fruit " it is legal according to Elaine's website under a paragraph on India. http://ccgi.cobbler.plus.com/search.php?q=star+fruit However, it is tart and in conventional use, usually cooked with sugar. The mangosteen is often called the " queen of tropical fruits " because it is considered by some people to be one of the most delicious fruits on earth. I could not find anything about acai berries except that they are high in oxalic acid but believe they are used in Goji juice (which is not legal). Is that what you were wondering about? Carol F. Guest guest
Carol, You can also get just pure acai also. It is usually combined with other juices as it is also not sweet. Nasty by itself. I used the pure Acai and mixed it with pomegranate juice for my son prior to SCD. I could only put 1/2 oz in 4 to 6 oz of pom juice as it has such an overwhelming taste, but the highest in antioxidents. I was wondering that also. If it was legal, I was going to add it back when we get to the stage where Pomegranate is allow, 4 I think. " -Dole canned pineapple juice -Heinz and 's canned Tomato juice -ONLY the Knudsen's *Just Juice* line (not the rest of their products): Just Black Cherry Just Blueberry Just Cranberry JUST POMEGRANATE Organic Just Concord Grape Organic Just Tart Cherry -Kedeem Organic grape juice -Welch's 100% Grape juice (Red, Purple and white) in glass bottles or plastic jugs -Freshly pressed, pasteurized refrigerated non sparkling Apple Cider with no added sweetener. IMPORTANT NOTE: A while ago, a list member called both Welch's and Tropicana about their calcium fortified juices. BOTH companies use a calcium supplement that has starch in them. This makes their calcium fortified juices illegal. There is no designated Pecanbread person to investigate the legality of foods. Even if there were, it is up to each person to decide if they wish to take the risk of an unlisted food. In the case of juice, our approved list contains widely available brands. Carol F.
