Guest guest
I also had an increase in my panc pain when I was premenstraul. I always felt it was a hormonal thing and talked with my doc's nurse about it and they kind of pooh-poohed it. Much the same as they pooh- poohed my thoughts that I ran a low grade temp the whole time I had cp. I also have painful ovulation particularily on the right. Thank goodness it can change from right to left ovary at will. It was noted by the radiologists on numerous ct scans (having had more then 50 scans in the last 2 years). When a woman ovulates it literally 'pops' out of the ovarian wall; like popping of a pimple, and is referred to as a cyst of corpus luteum. It is a normal process every month during a woman's fertile lifespan. However it is more painful for some women then with others. My ob-gyn actually put me on the pill to alleviate the pain some years back. At least I have always known when I ovulate. It wasn't until all of ya'll started talking about it that made me think that there may be a systemic connection between that pain and cp. Maybe there are some homonal influences on the panc or the inflammatory processes that the body goes through with cp affects the nerves which innervate with other parts of the body. It does seem to be a little more then coincidental that so many of us have had problems with ovarian cysts. Interesting huh. Hope everybody is doing well and as always, Warmly, (SC)
