Hi everyone,

I once had a teacher in about 4th grade pick out words to describe each

student in our class. The word she picked out for me was " perseverance " . She

then made us each look up our word and tell everyone the next day in class

how it could be a good trait and how it could be a negative one depending on

how we made use of it.

When I looked it up, this is what the dictionary said:

Continued effort in spite of difficulties; patience; steadfastness; To

persevere no matter how difficult the task.

I thought about that yesterday and thought it was interesting that someone

saw that in me in 4th grade! And the reason that I thought about it is this...

I have completed my package in spite of difficulties, I have been denied by

insurance and I am now appealing. And while my insurance decides whether to

approve or deny again, I am busy getting all 25 people in my office to fill

out paperwork to change our insurance plan to a company who states they will

cover this as long as I am considered morbidly obese. I am determined that if

my company won't pay, someone will! So, I have my guns loaded and ready to

go. If I get denied again (my current company has til Dec 26th to inform me

of their decision), December 27th.... paperwork will go thru to start us with

a new company who will pay for this!!!!

Perseverant? Me? (Actually stubborn would have been a good word too, but I

like my teachers word better!)

I think my teacher would be proud... I am using this trait in a positive

way!!!! :-)
