Guest guest
I have been thinking about starting SCD to help with possible yeast issues. I don't have the typical reactions, but I still think it's an issue. My hubby has been SCD for a year now, and I usually eat SCD with him, but when I'm alone or out with friends I'm totally not legal. Instead of trying one of the Candidia diets, it only makes sense to swich to fanatical SCD and then do the yeast protocol. I've been reading postings on yeast and SCD for over a year now, and I think it's the route to go. A couple of questions though. I only have a cheap centrifugal juicer, and was wondering if it was adequate to make the carrot and garlic remedy. I know I still need to strain it to remove pulp before I drink it. I'm not an experienced juicer, so I'm not sure if I need to peel the garlic or carrots before I juice them. Also, I know I need to roate the carrot/garlic juice, oil of oregano, and grapefruit seed extract. Should I rotate the EV coconut oil too? I have candies I make with it that I love. I will eat them all the time unless I need to rotate it too. When should I start with the yeast protocol: right after intro, or after a few weeks? Thanks for all the help you've given for my hubby over the past year! He's been symptom free for almost a year, with a few exceptions! Guest guest
Hi Sharon, <<A couple of questions though. I'm not an experienced juicer, so I'm not sure if I need to peel > the garlic or carrots before I juice them.>> Yes, peel both and strain them after juicing. I find if I add water to the juice with pulp it makes it easier to strain them. << Also, I know I need to roate the carrot/garlic juice, oil of oregano,> and grapefruit seed extract. Should I rotate the EV coconut oil too?>> I'd rotate the other and use the EVcoconut oil regularly. Others may do it differently. <<When should I start with the yeast protocol: right after intro, or > after a few weeks?>> After the intro if you feel the yeast are getting worse. If you feel improvement after the intro with diet alone wait a while and see how the yeast respons to the diet.
