Guest guest
Hi All, Thought I would check in and tell of my experience with Sandostatin. Perhaps my experience can help someone else. I have been NPO since October 2004. I have Idiopathic CP and SOD. Started on Sandostatin about 10 days ago. 3 subq's daily 200 mcg each dose. Depot form may be possible after trialing the 3/daily dose. For the first 2 days, I felt terrible--headache, nausea, achey. Used Demerol to go me over the hump. I haven't had any real pain to speak up since using the drug. Still have problems with overwhelming nausea, but use Zofran to help with it. Headaches are still a problem but they are mild and are probably related to hypoglycemia. So, what would I say so far about this treatment. I actually think I have a lot more energy. Pain is minimal. I am hoping it works. Pat
