Dear ,

I got my letter earlier this week stating Premier had received by Second Level

Grievance letter filed by the Missouri Insurance Commission. Yesterday I got a

letter from Premier stating they had scheduled the Grievance Committee meeting

to be held on December 13, 2000 at 9:15 a.m. I want to be at that meeting. The

letter states that I am welcome to present the background of my case to the

committee members. My problem is that I have patients scheduled all day that

day in addition to a governing board meeting. It would have been nice if they

would have consulted me regarding my schedule since I am the one who be

traveling 2 hours to the meeting.

What was your experience with the Grievance Committee? Do they actually allow

you time for meaningful input? Do they listen to what you have to present or do

they have their minds made up? I remember you outlining how degrading the

meeting was and I want to be prepared. Did they give you a copy of the criteria

by which you were denied at the meeting? Zoellner of the Missouri

Insurance Commission stated she would forward me a copy of the criteria (they

did send it to her because I have a copy of her letter to Premier outlining how

I had met the criteria).

Any tips for this meeting would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have an attorney present with you at that meeting?

I tried to call the Grievance and Appeals Coordinator, Tammy Sales, at Premier

this morning to try and get a different date , or at least push the meeting

until 4 p.m. - I could get there by then without disrupting the schedules of at

least 9 other people that already have appointments with me that day. They said

she was out of the office until Friday.

I don't want them to think I am not invested in this process just because I

can't get to the meeting on the date or time they scheduled without my input.

Thanks in advance,

Tarri in Missouri
