I too have kept a " stash " of pain meds and it has been beneficial in

the stay at home attacks. I believe that should you take these

medications just to get " high " or if you get " high " when you take them

there is the problem. My personal experience is I usually take one

(I'm perscribed percocets) if that doesn't work in 30 min. I take a

half, give that 15 mins and then I take the other half if I need it.

I also wear a patch. I worried for a long time that I would become

addicted but luckily I have had a few days lately that I've only had

to take 1 all day long. I try to go without them but I just get tired

of always hurting so my husband tells me all the time why don't you

just take one and so you can be comfortable. He is all the time

telling me not to worry about being addicted and explained it like I

did above. I just wanted to put my experience in, in hopes it may

help someone else.
