Can someone please post the link to the constipation protocol. I've tried

clicking on the ones previously posted and I get nowhere. When i type it into

the search I only get how the diet helps with constipation...not the case at the

moment in this house! Thanks!

Thanks Mimi for posting this for me. Now can anyone tell me which muffins are

" the muffins " referred to in the Constipation Protocol? Sorry if this is a dumb

question. TIA.

Pretty much any muffin should work. I make the banana cake recipe in the book,

but make them in to muffins instead. The carrot muffins in Grain Free Gourmet

would also be good for a beginner. I think the big thing with the muffins is

that the nut flour often gets things moving in the bowels.

Hi ,

<<...Now can anyone tell me which muffins are " the muffins " referred

The muffins are from the " Basic muffin and bread recipe " in BTVC (the

first recipe in that section).

The recipe calls for ground nuts so you can use any kind of nut :

pevans and blanched almond are the easiest to digest. Cashews are

much harder to digest since they are starchy. You can use 1/4 C of

butter, homemade yogurt/pure apple butter or cooked veggies. You may

have to adjust the consistency depending on what you use.

If you use veggies start with one you know is tolerated. In other

words the first time you introduce the nut flour let the nuts be the

only new thing.

Thanks Sheila,

If I start the muffins for constipation and find that he tolerates them should

I remove them from the diet once constipation is under control since we are so

early in the diet? Tomorrow will be the last day of the intro for us...yay us!

If he tolerates them there is no reason to remove them just remember

to try other fruits and veggies to get all necessary nutrients for

healing. Some people replace all the breads and crackers preSCD with

all nut goodies and leave out the fruits and veggies. Balance is the

key.
