Guest guest
I just wanted to post this little suggestion, for all of us who have had " horror " visits to the ER, and have trouble with the stranger there who treats you believing you actually HAVE CP, and actually did NOT come out in the middle of the night only to be humiliated, but are there because you are really, really, truly in TOO much pain!!! On your next visit to your pancreatic specialist, talk to him/her about this, and get his/her agreement that, the next time this happens, HE will agree to your calling him BEFORE going to the ER, even in the middle of the night, and make sure that any/all of his associates are duly informed, so whoever is on call at 3AM, gets the word, and get them to call and have you admitted for breakthrough pain control. At least this way you have a confirmed diagnosis of CP in front of you when you get there. My OLD doc used to have them red-tag my wrist on arrival, and have Demerol shots waiting when I got there to be given STAT. So, this may not work, but it should, and surely it's worth a try. Blessings to all, , in Indy
