Guest guest
Ugh! We are not even close to having nut flour (at least 2-3 months away) so I guess that's out for us. I have taken everything from the constipation protocol to include the simmered down prune juice and suppository with no luck. Elaine mentions " the muffins " so I was hopeful that it would be something for a beginner. Any other suggestions? Our situation is causing pain, crying, and fear of pooping b/c it is so hard and " wide " that it's painful. We are only three days into the diet and have never had constipation before! HELP!!! Mommy to 4 yrs pdd-nos/asd (almost fully recovered) and 8 months SCD June 2007 Being a mom is by far the best job I've ever had. --------------------------------- Get the Yahoo! toolbar and be alerted to new email wherever you're surfing. Guest guest
Are you using probiotics? That may help. It's not an SCD thing, but it is not unheard of to administer them rectally for acute constipation. - Unwin wrote: Ugh! Guest guest
hi lisa, i'm new too my daughter has been on scd for 1 month, she has some mild sensory stuff but incredily leaky intestines. she was constipated this past week and sheila advised me to use pecan flour, as it tolerated by most kids. it is definitely sooner than i would have introduced it, but she said the last thing you want is to get them impacted, so i did just 1/4 of a pancake each day, it took a few days but now she is going. i am not going to give them to her again just so she can heal some more, but i was able to avoid any kind of trauma. emma 1 month scd daughter zoe (4 today! scd 1 month) and ava (5mos scder to be) In pecanbread , Unwin wrote: > > Ugh!
