Guest guest
What does it mean when your resting heart rate is 98? What causes that? I do not understand why if my resting heart rate is high, why does my blood pressure get low? My average Blood sugar reading is 212...which would explain the heart rate??? And how low is " too low " in regard to blood pressure? If I was say for example, 60/40, and I am not on pain meds, what does it all mean? Closterol averages 380. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Kathleen a resting heart rate of 98 is high, it means that your heart is pumping fas. A blood pressure of 60/40 is very low, at this rate it would be impossible to stand up without fainting,as below 90 as teh uppe rvvalue thats when you can faint. I am not sure why your would be so low especially when no pain meds. Mine was at its lowest at 50/30 and that is serious, it was when I was on an epidural and in severe pain as it was in the wrong place when they shifted my blood pressure went up. At 60/40 your may not be getting enought blood supply and oxygen to the brain , it may be worth investigating Cheers debs
Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, Those numbers are all a little awry. Did you test yourself or was this done by medical personnel? If yourself, you might want to recheck and if they are still out of normal range, then an appointment for a medical check would be a good next step. And, if you don't like or feel confident in the answer, then get another opinion. BTW you local county health department will do those tests for free if you just drop in. just claim your " home " readings were thought to be " out of whack " .
