Guest guest
This is in response to the ? about chest pain: I have had chest pain to the extent that my neighbor called the EMT's & off I went to the hosp, and was subsequently admitted to the Heart Institute here later that night. After two days there, and a followup visit to the cardiologist, no blockages were found and I was released. I said it was the first time I's gotten good news from a doc in YEARS! A comment on the posts re: female problems and CP being worse at that time, I can definitively say that I ALWAYS felt worse around the time of my periods, which were painful and miserable since the first one I ever had! After a hysterectomy, I felt a thousand times better! I certainly don't recommend this as a means to relief, but if anyone has had a reputable gyn recommend one, and you are on the fence, let me weigh in that I for one, say you go girl! I think anything that's going on with you is worse when you have your monthly cycle, including " nerves " , and THAT contributes to the CP pain. One more thing, re: the ? about spleen: my spleen was removed in the course of the partial pancreactomy that I had in 1980. Removal of the spleen is always a last ditch thing, because from then on, your immune system is going to be compromised. A cold can lay me up for months! But, mine was removed because it is so close to the pancreas, which is kind of my point here, its proximity, and when surgery is going on with the pancreas, they are going to be working all around the spleen. In my case, they could not otherwise stop the bleeding. Love to all, in Indy
