Guest guest
Hi all! I wanted to make the cooked mayo on SCDrecipe.com and see it calls for dry mustard. How do you know if a dry mustard is legal? What brands do you know of that are legal? Thanks! Guest guest
You going to be looking on your spices aisle at the grocery store for ground mustard, mustard powder, ect. It shouldn't contain anything else. Meleah legal dry mustard Hi all! I wanted to make the cooked mayo on SCDrecipe.com and see it calls for dry mustard. How do you know if a dry mustard is legal? Guest guest
Meleah, So, I can assume that it would say a list of ingredients if it had starch in it? I have ground mustard here at home that doesn't list ingredients, so it should be safe? Only onion powder and garlic powder have starch added? Thanks! Bonita legal dry mustard Hi all! Guest guest
It should be safe if only the mustard powder is listed. Yes, onion powder and garlic powder always have some sort of anticaking agent in them. Herb or spice mixtures that are commercially made(poultry seasoning, pumpkin pie spice, herbs de province, ect.) also often have other things added besides the spices or herbs. Always check the label, but individual spices or herbs are usually safe. Meleah legal dry mustard Hi all! I wanted to make the cooked mayo on SCDrecipe.com and see it calls for dry mustard.
