Guest guest
Christy You mentioned you had 3 1/2 feet of intestine removed. I thought it was supposed to be 6 feet. Can you tell us why yours was different? It seems like just yesterday we were agonizing over insurance approval, doesn't it? Now you are well on your way and I am counting down until next Wed!! Guest guest
Margaret: Dr. R advised my husband and I that he felt I should only have 3 1/2 feet bypassed so I wouldn't loose too much weight. He felt that if he did 6 feet on me I would loose way too much, and I don't want to have a revision!!! A 100lb loss will be essential for my body size, height & shape. Everyone's body is different. I carry my weight well (people say, not me). A lot of people didn't think I even need the WLS, and were shocked when I told them that I weighed 240lbs (now 219). This is something everyone should discuss with Dr. R and they need to understand how the bypass effects our body. I am so happy you have a date!!! We started here together as the Aetna groupies.....LOL Keep me posted!!! Christy / CA MGB 11-8-00 240/219/???
