Guest guest
Here is the recipe for making the standard SCD yogurt into frozen yogurt that is listed in the " Grain-free Gourmet " cookbook: Fruity Frozen Yogurt: 1-1/2 cups homemade yogurt 1/2 cup honey 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1/2 cup berries or your choice of peeled, chopped fruit (fresh or frozen) Combine all ingredients in blender and puree till smooth. Process in ice cream maker for about 15 minutes or as suggested by manufacturer. Transfer to airtight container and store in freezer. I did this with strawberries in my Cuisinart this weekend and it was really good. The recipe also says for those without an ice cream maker, you can simply freeze the mixture after blending and it will be harder and denser but just as tasty! Guest guest
I used to make a good soft serve dessert w/o an ice cream maker by taking about 1/2 of the recipe and freezing it into ice cube trays and putting 1/2 in the fridge. When it was time to serve, I just whirled it all together. - jdhyorkman@... wrote: Here is the recipe for making the standard SCD yogurt into frozen yogurt that is listed in the " Grain-free Gourmet " cookbook: Fruity Frozen Yogurt: 1-1/2 cups homemade yogurt 1/2 cup honey 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1/2 cup berries or your choice of peeled, chopped fruit (fresh or frozen) Combine all ingredients in blender and puree till smooth.
