Guest guest
To anyone who can help! 1. Does it matter whether we use regular or sugar free on the milk of mag, tums, citrocel etc? Dr R doesn't list anything about this. I would particularly wonder about the citrocel? 2. I cannot open up the Durham tour. My kids will be with me part of the time that I am in Durham for a total of 10 days. My daughter will be driving from Va, so we will have the use of her car part of the time... my question is: How close is Hawthorne Suites to shopping etc? Is it within walking distance to most everything or will I need a rental car for the few days I am there alone? How is the public transportation... has anyone taken a bus or taxi from the airport to the Hotel? and how far is from Hawthorne? I am just trying to figure out how necessary a rental car is...or if it would actually be cheaper than taxi's etc? 3. Why would we need a thermometer? I think that was the top thing on her list of items to take along to Durham?? I wouldn't have even thought about taking that! Thanks! " Don't leave home without it " , as the saying goes. Best of luck. Wish we were there at the same time cause I have one daughter,11yrs and I am afraid she will be board! Guest guest
: I would suggest a rental car. You can go to Priceline.Com and get one for $18 a day. Hawthorn is about 15 minutes from , Dr. R's office and clinic. Hawthorn is close to a grocery store and some fast food restaurants, but you will definitely need a car to go into town. You will need a thermometer to check your temperature often. Dr. R wants you to call him if you get a fever (I forgot what temperature you are supposed to call him at, but its in the manual). I would suggest the sugar free Citrucel. That is what I have and it taste fine. I couldn't imagine having it with sugar. Let me know if I can be of any help to you. Guest guest
Dear Jen, 1. I used the sugar free version of MOM and Citrucel. Tums were regular. I perceive that the sugar free doesn't sit so heavily on my tummy. 2. Sorry you can't open the tour - I don't know how to help you there. Hawthorne was close to a few restaurants and a grocery store but not much shopping. We had a rental car so we could drive to the beach and to Chapel Hill ( my youngest son is a NC fanatic). Did not take any public transportation because we had the rental car but I do know that there was a bus stop by the gas station and Taco Bell (about 4 blocks from the hotel) because we saw people unloading. 3. You need the thermometer because Dr. R wants you to call him if your temperature elevates post op. I didn't take it and had to go to Eckerd's and get one. If you need any other tidbits. feel free to call me at work. from 0600- 1630 Central time. Tarri in Missouri MGB 09-29-00 329/275 Re: a few questions! > To anyone who can help! > 1.
