Guest guest
My son has been on SCD for 7 weeks now and is showing slow, gradual improvement with his nausea and intestinal issues which he has had for years, but also has had fever of 100.4-101 since Dec. and a sore throat. He has a highly elevated Epstein Barr Virus antibody level with one of the antibodies, but the other two are normal. Three of four drs. we've been to are calling it mono, and we assume it is that or something due to the Epstein Barr virus. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas of anything that would help him to get over this? Also, the dr. is recommending a test to assess how his liver is detoxing chemicals, etc. He would have to take 1 NoDoz, 2 Tylenol and 2 Aspirin in one afternoon. If there is a problem it would be treated with supplements. Then we would have to be sure the supps are SCD legal. Any opinions/advice on this? Thanks very much, Becky Mother of Andy (15 yrs. old w/ severe nausea, constipation, celiac disease or high gluten sensitivity, chemical sensitivities, sore throat and fever)
