Re: Need for calcium or minerals? Pam

I have noticed this recently with my children too! My kids just look

like there is brown stuff on their teeth, like plaque or something.

When they brush it does go away somewhat though. We have never had

this problem before and it just started after we did the intro diet.

Is this calcium deficiency? Anyone know what is going on here? They

do get calcium from the SCD yogurt but that is probably their only

source right now. We are slowly doing the K2 protocol to increase

their ability to utilize calcium properly, but aren't up on all of

that protocol just yet.

Two of my children had different problems with their teeth. My son had little

brown spots on his teeth that we thought were cavities, but the dentist said

they were not cavities, but a sign that he was not absorbing his minerals.

Reintroducing his raw vegetable juices helped with that. My daughter, on the

other hand, developed a brown coating on her teeth that would not come off with

brushing. We took her to the dentist, and it turned out the brown coating was

on her tongue, too. The dentist identified it as yeast. He cleaned it off, we

changed her diet, and put her on some anti-yeast supplements, and it has not

come back.
