Guest guest
My 7 year old is getting little pimples, all raised, some whiteheads, others the pink stuff. Both of the cheeks on his face have quite a bit on them. Could it be die off or maybe some impurities coming out? Or something else? Could it be part of an allergic reaction? Bonita son, SCD over a week, ADHD, OCD, Asperger's, food allergies, highly salicylate sensitive
Guest guest
Bonita, I have heard of this before. It might be some impurities coming out. Guest guest
What foods did you introduce recently and can you narrow it down? My daughter had a similar reaction recently when we introduced a little bit of blueberries into her morning smoothie (they were cooked with water and a little honey to make it more of a syrup, and only a little was added). Later that day she had little pink bumps (like pimples) around her chin and mouth area. We stopped the blueberries and the next day her skin cleared. Just to double check, we repeated the blueberry introduction a few days later and the red bumps reappeared. For us it seemed to be a food intolerance. Her behavior was good and continues to improve and her die-off symptoms have lessened significantly. Remember that this is a long process and takes a lot of patience. We want to rush and get them better sooner and sometimes introduce things too soon or too close together so it's difficult to pinpoint the cause of a reaction. Take a step backwards and retest any new food introductions waiting 3-4 days before introducing something new. Sometimes it takes a day or two to see a reaction. Hang in there! Slow and steady wins the race! New to group this week but have found some amazing info. You guys are awesome! Daughter - Katarina, 8, atypical Down's with Autism, food intolerances, yeast, SCD 4 weeks and improving daily! Son - Marcus, 4, high function ASD, GFCF 4 weeks, transitioning to SCD due to great results with Kata > > My 7 year old is getting little pimples, all raised, some whiteheads, > others the pink stuff.
