Hello everyone:)

After many ups and downs caused for illegals she has eaten (minimal amounts,

huge reactions), I started the yeast protocol with my daughter 2 days ago with 3

drops of GSE in the morning and 2 capsules of legal probiotic in the juice she

takes before going to bed. I'm not using the candex yet and I'm not sure if this

could be a problem. She takes also 1TBS of yogurt during the day. Is this ok? do

I have to change anything? Add something?

Another question I have about something different: Can someone share about the

tests DAN! doctors ask for?. I'm taking (finally!) to a DAN! doctor next

month and have to ask my insurance if they cover any of the tests, so I would

like to know the kind of tests they use.

Thanks in advance

The tests depend on the doctor you're going to see. I know that some doctors

use Great Plains Lab, but my son's doctor doesn't. She uses Genova Diagnostics.

It's not so much the tests in particular tht you need to check on your insurance

covering. It is whether the lab that does the testing is covered. The ones

that I know of people using are Genova Diagnostics, Doctors' Data, Great Plains

Lab, and Lab Bio. Lab Bio is definitely not covered because it is out of the

country. It's in France. There may be some other labs used, but these are the

ones I know of. Of course, any standard testing done by someplace like Lab Corp

or Quest Labs should be covered no problem.

You could take the candex with GSE or other antifungals (oil of

oregano, garlic etc.) to boost its effect - which will get rid of

more yeast and increase die off>>

<<She takes also 1TBS of yogurt during the day. Is this ok? do I have

There is some debate over antifungals affecting good

bacteria/microflora. To be on the safe side you could take the

yogurt apart from the antiifungals.

Hi, I hope you don't mind me jumping in here.....

I give my son the GSE, Oil of oregano and OLE by rubbing it on the bottom of his

feet at night. I know he will never take GSE orally because it really is

bitter. Is this way ok? Are any of you also doing it the way I do it?

Thanks alot.

Thank you Sheila for your reply. I do give the yogurt in the middle of the

afternoon and the antifungals in the morning. The protocol I have says to give 1

capsule of candex and 2 capsules of probiotic in the evening, is it ok? I think

the antifungal would affect the good bacteria. Is this possible? If so, can I

give the candex with dinner and probiotics before bed? is that time period in

between ok?

Thank you for your invaluable help

Yes, you can rub the OoO and OLE into the skin.

There has been some discussion that GSE may only be effective because

of the pesticides used. You can read info on this at

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/68370

Garlic and caprylic acid are also good antifungals.

If you take the candex with dinner it will work on the food. It is

better to take the Candex (yeast enzymes) on an empty stomach if you

want them to work on the yeast. You should be able to take the

probiotics either with or just before dinner.

What probiotic is it?

Thank you once again. So, the Candex can be given with the juice she has as soon

as she wakes up? Is 1 capsule ok? she's 3 and 35 pounds. Then, GSE with the

juice she has with her breakfast and at dinner time 2 capsules of probiotic,

right? I'm using Lyosan.

Thanks for taking the time to help us, God bless you.

Hi Ximena,

<<Thank you once again. So, the Candex can be given with the juice

The website says , " Two capsules, at least one hour before breakfast,

and two at bedtime, at least two hours after eating, until desired

results are achieved. Always take on an empty stomach with 8 oz. of

water. For maintenance, one capsule at bedtime " from

http://www.pureessencelabs.com/pdf/candex_supp.pdf

1 capsule is probably okay for her, but you might want to start with

less so you can be sure that she tolerates it and gradually increase

it. I started with about 1/2 a capsule of yeast enzyme.

<<Then, GSE with the juice she has with her breakfast and at dinner

If you can take the antifungal with the yeast enzyme it will boost

its' yeast killing activity, but you should probably start with only

the enzyme and gradually work up to adding the ntaural antifungals.

There has been a debate over GSE and if it is effective on its own or

because of pesticides: There is a lot of discussion on the web and

you can started at

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grapefruit_seed_extract refernces at

bottom of wiki article. If you decide not to use the GSE other

antifungals include garlic, carrot and garlic juice, Oil of oregano,

Olive leaf extract, caprylic acid, coconut oil.

Thank you Sheila for the information. I think I'll use a different antifungal

anyway. I know they have to be rotated so I'll start with coconut oil and after

a couple weeks try the Oil of oregano but again, I wouldn't know how much to

give... I'm sorry, to ask too much about the same thing. If you have a place

where I can find this nformation and not bother you any more, please let me know

:) The thing is that my reacts sometimes very hard to very little things,

I don't want to take the chance.

Is the probiotic ok?

Thank you Sheila, God bless you.

Oil of oregano (OoO) is very strong so start with a tiny amount. Are

there any recommendations on your bottle - they may come in different

strengths. You could apply externally to be safe (bottom of feet..)

Since she reacts strongly it may be safer to start with smaller than

normal amounts to reduce any possible reaction.

<< Is the probiotic ok?>>

Sorry, I missed that. Yes, Lyosan's Lactobacillus acidophilus

probiotic is legal. Their other probiotics are not legal.
