Guest guest
I've been following the SCD for six weeks and have noticed improvements, but I have one major problem - I can't tolerate ANY protein rich sources. This includes all meats (including fish and other seafood) eggs, dairy, lentils, beans, glutamine. If I eat these foods I get mucus discharges, bleeding (from a fistula only, not from the anus), constipation, etc. I have lost some muscle mass and feel I have to eat some of these foods. These was a period when I didn't eat any of them and I was loosing muscle mass and felt weak in the legs. Suggestions? Similar experiences? Prognosis? Many thanks. Guest guest
Hi Tom, <<I've been following the SCD for six weeks and have noticed > improvements, but I have one major problem - I can't tolerate ANY > protein rich sources. This includes all meats (including fish and > other seafood) eggs, dairy, lentils, beans, glutamine.>> Were you able to tolerate protein before you began SCD? What kind of changes have you noticed since starting the diet? Has your tolerance for protein changed since starting SCD? <<If I eat these > foods I get mucus discharges, bleeding (from a fistula only, not from > the anus), constipation, etc. I have lost some muscle mass and feel I > have to eat some of these foods.>> Have/are you taking any meds for the fistula? Any meds for crohn's? << These was a period when I didn't eat > any of them and I was loosing muscle mass and felt weak in the legs. > Suggestions? Similar experiences? Prognosis?>> did you start with the intro diet? What foods have you been eating? Are your veggies and fruits peeled and cooked?
