Guest guest
Hi Tarri: I still feel like I don't have all the energy I should. My surgery was 4 days before yours. I have been trying to eat more protein, hoping that would help. Also, one of the posts I read reminded me that maybe I am not drinking enough fluids which means dehydration which means lack of energy. So I am making a point of trying to drink more and I think it's helping. Also, I have been considering changing to liquid vitamins (better absorption)to see if that helps. Another person on liquid vitamins said she had more energy since she started them and they dont make her feel sick. I notice I am starting with the hair loss. Not lots, but more than I am used to. So I figure maybe the extra protein will help with that also. Well, I guess this is the price we have to pay to be thin. Good luck. Let me know if you find anything that works for you. Guest guest
I posted a while back about the liquid vitamins and no one responded so Im going to try again since its been mentioned again. I'm finishing up my packet and doing a great deal to get ready for the time AFTER I've had my surgery (is that confidence or what?) Anyway, I've always been very big on vitamins. I know that when Im on a good vitamin, I feel amazingly better. Anyway, I know I cant take what I take now because its about 16 horse sized pills. I found a liquid vitamin searching the internet that contains all I know I need and want to take daily. Its two tablespoons daily. Are we allowed to take liquid vitamins? What do the rest of you do. My guess is I'm probably already more of a vitamin " nut " than most so it is an issue for me. Thanks !! Michele

Guest guest
Dear Friends, Can any other post-ops help?? For the first two months post op I felt my energy level climb on a daily basis. I have taken the multivitamins (X3) faithfully since the surgery but in the past 2 -3 weeks it is all I can do to finish my work day and make it to the couch. I don't want to give up my exercise regimen but even getting homework done with the kids and dinner fixed seems to spend my energy reserve. I haven't contacted Dr. R. Thought I would try here first. Guest guest
Pam, Thanks for your prompt reply. I'll check out the liquid vitamins. No hair loss here yet . . . I'm so thin on top to begin with that mine will really be noticable. I'd rather be bald than fat - a small price to pay to have my sense of self back. Guest guest
Dear Michele, Liquid vitamins are okay. Can you recommend the brand and where you bought them? By the time I take the horse pills and the liquid to wash them down I feel like I have had a meal. Thanks for your help. Guest guest
Sorry to hear that Tarri. Please let us know what you finally learn. I'd suggest getting some blood work done by your PCP and go from there. PhillyJude

Guest guest
There are so many things that make us tired from stress to hormones to imbalances. I suspect you're going to have to weed them out one by one. The safest things (in my opinion) would be to see your PCP and have blood drawn. Have check out your blood levels in everything. So if your thyroid is slowing down, you'll know it, or if you need more iron, you'll know it. If everything comes up " okay " maybe you'll have to try a different approach. But if you're way out of wack on something you want to know that, too. Please keep us posted: we'll all benefit from your reply.
