This is my guess from all my studies and talking to MtD specialist.

able to get rid of accumulating heavy metals, LPS (the bi-product of

fermentation) and more >> that injures the cells at a cellular level>> that

leads to all sorts of havoc in the entire BODY>> Causing some irreparable damage

in some of us to more than just our pancreas....any part of the body or brain

Please....this is Just a hypothesis. I could be worng.

I DO NOT BELIEVE That the mercury causes MtD or else EVERY SINGLE child out

there would have this problem. MOST are Exposed to heavy metals and do not get

as sick as us. They are able to deal with them and excrete them normally. I do

not agree with DAN! theories on the most part. Now sit me down with a MtD

specialist...and now it starts to make sense. But even they are still learning.

This information is truly in it's infancy. The first MtD case wasn't diagnosed

until 1985 or something like this. That is not much time for medicine to

evolve. Hence that there is only six in the country that can even test

correctly for it.

Now about the prescription enzymes:

It is best to swallow the capsules whole...but doctor gave us permission to have

her take them opened in apple sauce if she could not do this. She was able to

learn how to take them in the capsule. If not crushed by teeth...they still

open in the intestines where they belong. These capsules are full of tiny micro

capsules....not like the powders.

If a child has undiagnosed PI, this is why SCD is so important....the child

doesn't have to digest as much, since it is all monosaccharide. The enzymes are

mostly for the fats and proteins, to keep them from growing things when not

digested. THIS IS WHY ELAINE RECOMMENDED SCD for Cystic Fibrosis too! With CF

it is a pancreatic problem. These are the same prescription enzymes for that

condition.

How would one be suspicious of pancreatic insufficiency...or a mit condition for

that matter? What tests are run for PI? Are they fairly standard blood tests

that would be covered by state Medicaid? I'm sure that the mito testing

wouldn't be...especially the muscle biopsy done by only six specialists in the

country. I'd bet a million dollars that one of them doesn't live in North

Carolina, and they wouldn't take Medicaid even if they did.
