There have been discussions about cookware on the list but nothing was mentioned

in the

BTVC book. Although it is not central to SCD it is of concern as cooking is

vital to eating.

This is not a raw food diet.

I suggest you enter " safest cookware " in your browser and read up on it.

I have chemical sensitivities and cannot use Teflon, have not used the coloful

silicone

rubber utensils either. I line aluminum cookiesheets wth cooking parchment

(which I

believe contains silicone.) Otherwise no aluminum. I have one non stick pan, a

Henckel

grill pan but the lining seems to be a different material from Teflon and

something I can

tolerate. Otherwise I use stainless steel. earthenware, glass. and enamel.

Others have said

they like cast iron skillets as a source of iron in the food, but Elaine sad not

to take iron

supplements.
