Guest guest
Hi, I need to introduce one of these products to kill yeast that still hangs on in my son. The yeast seems to rear it's ugly head now when he has juice and some veggies. He can't swallow pills so I'll have to pull the capsules apart and hide in juice. Please advise me, from your experience, which one(s) of these would be best at doing the job? Is one of them more palatable? Am I correct in thinking Candex and Candidase breaks down the yeast cell wall only and Candizyme does that PLUS helps digest food?? Thank you so much for your help, Pam, mom of Dillon ASD 4yrs old SCD June 23, 2007 PS- I just wanted to share how much more vocalizations my son is doing now since going SCD only a short month ago. He's made more verbal progress in 1mth than he has any other time in his life!! Thank you SCD!! : )
Guest guest
During yeast flares, it was helpful for us to go back to introductory diet for two days, use the accidolphilus and goat yogurt. This might be all you need to do. Following Elaine's suggestion there after to limit the honey and dilute the juice. The Candex is SCD legal. I wish you well~ Antoinette and family of five. Guest guest
Hi Antoinette, Does " The Candex is SCD legal " mean the others are not SCD legal?? I guess I should have said he is dairy free. So I can't use the yogurt but I have been giving him the Kirkman sac b and Lacto. I just now increased those as well but it was suggested to me to get something to break down the yeast cell wall also. > > > During yeast flares, it was helpful for us to go back to introductory > diet for two days, use the accidolphilus and goat yogurt. Guest guest
I've only used Candex of the 3 & it has a bland taste. My son will take it without it needing to be mixed in anything (dry off the spoon or chewing the capsules), which you might try so you can give it as recommended (on an empty stomach). We are getting equal results (maybe better actually) with s. boulardii. - sparrow2605 wrote: Hi, I need to introduce one of these products to kill yeast that still hangs on in my son. Guest guest
If he is dairy free, it is important to fight the yeast war with accidolphilus also. In a few months you might want to try to introduce the goat yogurt. It is truly what helped the most in this war. We came to SCD dairy free ASD....I truly understand your fears about the yogurt. SCD yogurt denatures the casein. Go to www.pecanbread.com to read about goat yogurt. I truly do not know if SCD would have worked as well without the yogurt. I have no regrets that we trusted it. People start it as low as 1/8 of a teaspoon and build up. Truly wonderous stuff in it's probiotic power to fight gut bugs. Many supplements contain hidden illegals. I know that some of these you mentioned have illegals...but do not know which ones. I know that Candex is legal. www.pecanbread.com has a list of legal supplements that you might find helpful. Good luck~ Antoinette

I dump them in water. <<Am I correct in thinking Candex and > Candidase breaks down the yeast cell wall only and Candizyme does that PLUS helps digest food??>> All three have cellulase. The Candizyme has a few extra that can break down some food bits (food sugars, lactose, fats & oils). The Candidase has a few extra to break down some food (sugars etc.) The candidase does not have protease. How are Dillon's bowel movements? Is he taking probiotics or yogurt? <<PS- I just wanted to share how much more vocalizations my son is doing now since going SCD only a short month ago.
