Guest guest
Hi everyone, My son is 20 days scd now and his BM has been solid-soft from the start of the diet. I just introduced goat cheese(Mornington cheddar marble- Canada) to him 2 days ago. He had just 2 thin slices during the first giving and he had rashes around his mouth right away. I tried giving him same slices yesterday am/pm and I noticed he had same reaction. Could it be from the goat's milk. I'm just considering to start making goat yogurt and I'm quite hesitant to proceed. He was not reactive to goat's milk during his bloodprint test June/06, while he was reactive to cow's then. What should I do now? Thanks, Lori PS:Ingredients pasteurized goat milk, salt, bacterial culture, microbial enzyme. May contain calcium chloride. I have been using Monforte Sheep Milk Cheddar http://www.morningtondairy.com/ from the new organic market in Toronto at the Don Valley Brickworks, Toronto They sell it elsewhere too. Carol F. Guest guest
If you are only twenty days SCD you are still going through the transition. Meaning that many gut bugs are dieing and starving and CANDIDA being opportunistic might have enjoyed this cheese. I would assume that this is a yeast issue with the rash. Maybe hold off on the cheese for a month or so and try again. If it is food intolerance, this too might vanish as the toxic load decreases (as bad gut bugs die off) and immune system relaxes. Regardless of cause don't give up on the goat cheese yet. Try again in a few weeks or month. http://www.pecanbread.com/new/yeast.html<http://www.pecanbread.com/new/yeast.htm\ l> This might explain things better for you. I wish you well, Antoinette SCD 2/
