Guest guest
My son has been on the diet for 4 years now. I have to admit I have not read much to keep up because I keep on the " old school " basics so I may have missed some updates... like I didn't know Dole Pinapples in the can somehow fell off the " accepted " list... etc So Anyway... Since we kept to basics I felt we stayed " legal " . We did a consult with a naturalist who said i is still dealing with yeast issues... so I'm having a real issue with this since aside from natural sugars in fruit (cooked!) and juice (watered down!) this kid does not injest sugar... and very little honey. So ... wouldn't over the past 4 years we have cleared his gut of this crap by now?!? What the heck am I missing? Thanks for input... Take care, Marlene:) Never retreat. Never surrender. Guest guest
Hi Marlene, What are all the symptoms that your child has Did you see any improvements with the diet? Did you start out with the intro diet and gradually added food by observing its effect on your child? Did you use a lot of nut products, beans and other difficult to digest foods? What are you feeding your son? Are the veggies and fruit cooked, peeled and seeded? Any manufactured foods? Supplements? Chelation? Is it possible that your son eats illegals without your knowledge? Guest guest
Hi Marlene, <<Dole Pinapples in the can somehow fell off the " accepted " list... etc>> If pineapple is canned " in its own juice " it is legal. If it says " in juice " or " In syrup " these aren't legal. They make all different kinds so you have to check the label carefully. <<We did a consult with a naturalist who said i is still dealing with > yeast issues... so I'm having a real issue with this since aside from natural > sugars in fruit (cooked!) and juice (watered down!) this kid does not injest sugar... and very little honey.>> What symptoms does he have? <<So ... wouldn't over the past 4 years we have cleared his gut of this crap by now?!?>> Not necessarily. With the uses of antibiotics, environmental factors etc.. some yeast are becoming increasingly hardy. I believe it also depends on a person system also and their ability to acheieve a healthy balance. Although I was doing very basic foods with no honey and almost no fruit I still couldn't get a handle on the yeast. I had to take extra measures.
