Hello,

I am new to the list and just getting started on SCD. I have a question about

saccharin. It is listed as legal. However, the saccharin tablets that I have,

and also the liquid saccharin, have several ingredients. Are all of these

ingredients legal?

Saccharin tablets (NectaSweet):

- sodium bicarbonate

- sodium saccharin

- silicon dioxide

- povidone

- modified cellulose gum

Liquid saccharin (store brand):

- sodium saccharin

- calcium gluconate

- benzoic acid (preservative)

- methylparaben (preservative)

Thanks,

Pat J.

This one is OK.

Pat, in Canada we use Hermesetas tiny tablets. I do not know why they are not

available in

the U.S.

I have recently (for the first time) seen saccharin in a small bottle at

Kroger's on the baking aisle. I think it was NectaSweet brand, tiny tablets

and sort of looked like an aspirin bottle.

Patti gave this link for ordering Hermesetas but I see now they are

selling the Necta Sweet instead.

Thanks, Carol and Debbie!

I remember Hermesetas from my days living overseas. Too bad they

aren't available here in the U.S.

Debbie, I got the NectaSweet tablets at Kroger (I think). But since

they are illegal, I'll use the liquid - which is the Kroger store

brand.

Thanks again,

Pat J.
