Guest guest
I have been looking for legal bacon. The only one I found without sugar at wholefoods had cane juice, which I just read is illegal. What brands of bacon do you guys use? Thanks, Tricia S., mom to Aidan 4yrs, ASD, SCD 7 mths.

Guest guest
Gwaltney also makes a beef bacon, for those of us who do not eat pork. It has not sugar in it. Guest guest
We instead buy prosciutto from Trader Joe's. The only ingredients are pork and salt. We fry it like bacon on a skillet and it tastes like salty bacon. We now like this better than bacon. - carolfrilegh wrote: > > I have been looking for legal bacon. Guest guest
Hi, I have found Gwaltney brand bacon at Super Wal-Mart (with the grocery section). It is much better fried crisp or it's kind of rubbery--my opinion. I have heard of a legal Safeway brand also but unable to find it. Guest guest
Carol, I cannot help you there -- when my husband cooks it it's perfectly yummy. With me, it's a disaster! He shows me how he does it and I still can't get it right. It does make a difference the type of pan you use and the oil (cast iron plus coconut oil). - carolfrilegh wrote: > > We instead buy prosciutto from Trader Joe's. It is sometimes too thin and sticks to the pan or so thick it takes too long to cook. Cooking bacon in the oven does it very evenly but it takes about forty minutes. Whenever I call Maple Leaf to comment they send me a coupon for more bacon but I really am not trying to take advantage of them :-) Carol F. Guest guest
Thank you everyone. I'll look for both. Tricia S. > > I have been looking for legal bacon.
