I just wanted to let all of the self pay patients know that you can deduct a huge portion of your medical, transportation, and Lodging expenses that you pay for MGB. If you go to IRS.GOV, Select Forms and Publications, select Publications online, and then Publication 502, it will explain how much can deduct from your 2000 tax bill. It is especially important for people that have taken out loans, and ones in a middle income bracket. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT AND EVERYONE SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS. My deduction from this years adjusted gross income will be over $8000.00. That's how important this is to ALL Self Pay's. So, do your self a favor and take time to go to the IRS web site. Hope all post ops are doing as good as I am, Terri MGB 12/7/00 ****TERRI, THANKS A MILLION for this info. Eventhough I am not a self-pay I sure could used any tax break I can get on the 20% I had to pay. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!! With Love, Lara Akin Post-op (grin) November 8, 2000 25 pounds gone FOREVER!! _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/
