Guest guest
Once again, thank you for your guidance. I use epsom salt baths very often but have never used the activated charcoal. She's doing better and her appointment is coming up in early August, I think I'll wait to see what the doctor says. Yes, this diet has been a huge blessing for us. As everyone else on the list, I have spend many hours reading and searching for answers for my baby's condition and among all the probabilities, SCD has been the safest and more rewarding. But I couldn't have come this far without your help. Thank you so much for your effort, your are truly making a difference. It sounds as if her body is being overloaded with toxin release and it is affecting her intensely. If her symptoms are not too bad right now, you may want to wait a while before adding any new protocols (yeast probiotics). Since you are going to see a DAN soon they should be able to give you a more definitive diagnosis. It sounds as if the diet is slowly helping her improve with increased connection and socialization Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of and > Hello Sheila. > No, I didn't use the VSL#3 or any other probiotic but was using Magnesium Glycinate. Didn't have the chance. She was having 1 drop/day and even whith that small amount, she became very agressive and had the worst diarrhea ever. She has always been a very calm, sweet little girl and seeing her like that scared me so much that I stopped the protocol. I think she was not ready. I thought it was because of some sugar she accidentally ate, but she reacts that way to any new protocol I implement. The reaction is usually worse than expected. I just ordered the SCDophilus to change the probiotic in the yeast protocol, but she's waking up very early in the morning since I started the protocol, even now when I'm not using the Candex (I'm waiting for the probiotic). > > I really want to do something to help her and I hear wonderfull things from the moms on the list when they use certain protocols but I feel so bad because I'm affraid to do anything new because of her reaction. I know she's suppose to react to it, but not in such exagerated way. I don't know what to do, all of this only shows me that she has real issues with detoxification and it seems to be very complicated:( > > So, what do you think? Should I continue with the yeast protocol changing the probiotic? > > I really appreciate your help, sharing your experience with a clueless mom like me:) > On the other hand, thank God for the diet and for all the list moderators and moms who have always been a great help. Since she started SCD, she has been more connected with us, and every day she's socializing a little bit more even with people out of the family circle. This gives me strength to continue... > > Thanks.
