Hi there,

I'm having some great concerns for my daughter & thought it was time

to reach out to you guys to see if you have had any similar cases.

She's has ASD. SHe's been SCD now for about 13 mos. About 1 month

ago she started complaining that her stomach hurt (she never ever did

this, even before SCD). It was infrequent & irregular. Then she

started complaining that her head hurt too. Both of these started

increasing in frequency over the last month. It did seem that she

complained the most in the car so I thought that maybe it's car

sickness or possibly her eyesight. But she does complain at home and

sometimes as soon as she wakes in the morning. I wonder if she

complains more in the car b/c she sitting still & has my undivided

attention. It doesn't seem to keep her from playing with other kids.

If at home alone she might sit still in pain.

I don't think I have changed anything in her diet or supplements.

I just cannot figure it out and I feel so sorry for her. BUT this

Sunday it was REALLY bad. So bad that she couldn't even eat (she love

to eat). My husband had to leave the restaurant with her b/c she was

Gagging saying she was going to throw up (which she does say to me

alot and often I open the window thinking it's helping).

I'm at a lost. I can't go to the pediatrician b/c they just cannot

help. I do have an appt set with her DAN for Wed morning but I have

the feeling this might lead to many labs & tests. I was hoping to

avoid all of this.

Any ideas or experiences with something like this??

THanks so much for your help!

Cheri

How old is your daughter?

Any chance of migraines? They can cause vomiting etc..

She's 5 yrs old. That is a good idea. I have heard that migraines

can be that way. She's never had this before that I know of. That

would probably mean a food allergy right?? She's on SCD. I wonder

what could be bothering her if that's it. Great idea! Thank you!

I will give her a tylenol next time & see it that makes her feel

better. Of couse, if migraine that might not be enough....
