Guest guest
Is there a Pecan group decision or advice on doing dental cleanings for people on the SCD diet? I noticed on earlier messages that you can bring in your own SCD legal toothpaste and ask to have it mixed with Dental pumice. Also, do most people on the SCD diet use special toothpaste? Guest guest
There is no SCD official position on toothpaste or cleanings because the paste or pumice is spit out. We would only be concerned if the child swallows toothpaste. I am not sure what proportion of people use what , but some use regular toothpaste, some use natural toothpaste like Tom's of Maine, some use baking soda, and some just use water. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
Hi I was wondering if the ingredients in Tooth Soap are okay. This is what my family uses. We have been using it for years. Its made in the US. We started using it because it is a whole lot healthier than most. Ingredients: Specially formulated soap made from saponified coconut, palm, extra virgin olive oils and pure essential oil. NO added glycerin, sweeteners, silicates (sand), fluoride, dyes, stabilizers or other material that can damage teeth. Certified Kosher by Star-K. Guest guest
If that is actually the ingredient list, then it looks okay. I had to look up " saponified " . It just means " made into soap " . There may be some other ingredients involved in making the oil into soap. But again, you don't swallow it, so not a problem. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/04 > > Hi I was wondering if the ingredients in Tooth Soap are okay. This is what > my family uses.
