Guest guest
Hi Trudy Thanks for the well wishes and the nap advice. Knowing that others are doing it makes me feel less guilty about it. I read alot of these posts, and I feel guilty because they are running around by the next day after surgery and me, I just want a nap. I did go to the auto parts store today. That was thrilling. Hope you and yours are doing well. Hows your weight loss coming along?? Carla MGB 12-15-

Guest guest
Carla, I am very excited about my weight loss, I'm down about 35 lbs, depending on who's scales I weigh on.. That's at 6 wks.. I thought I was plateau ing there for a few days but, next thing I know, I dropped some more. The most thrilling part isn't the loss though, it's how am beginning to feel about food. I know I can't eat but a couple of bites at one time (wait a few hours, then go again), but now I don't seem to be craving all the fattening foods I use too. I know you've heard that before, so have I, and you probably doubt it, just like I did (?) but, it's true!! After awhile you know you can only eat a tiny bit, so why bother with things you'd die for? Anything seems to work, and somethings even better than most. And about napping.. You ask my Jude, she napped when she got home, right after surgery too. After all no matter how good things look on the outside, the inside just went thru a catastrophy, right. And you're body needs some rest for awhile. Best Wishes again, and Welcome to the Other Side!! Guest guest
Hey Trudy Thanks for the advice and the help. I appreciate that you took up time to tell me how you were doing and how things are coming along for you. This has been such an experience. I havent craved anything yet that I cant have, actually broth and crackers and yogurts and juices are sounding yummy. Hope I can still say the same in a couple of weeks. The only thing I dont seem to be enjoying is that Citricuel stuff. I choke it on down anyways though!!! If I expect this to work right, I have to follow all the instructions!!! Thanks for all you help Trudy, You are always one of the nicest people on here and your always really super to me. Guest guest
Hey Carla, I had a hard time getting the citrucel down also, I switched to medamuscel (sp) instead, and it goes down much easier. I usually put 2 tsp. full in about 3-4 oz of water and drink it down in two gulps!! It takes a few moments for it to hit bottom, but it is so much better than 8 oz of water and drinking it slowly. And it works for me just fine.. Try it. By the way I've heard so many people talk about how much easier it gets in 2 months (after surgery), well... they aint lying. Guest guest
Hi Trudy I am definetly going to get some of the Meta m. and see if I like it better. I actually found something that I despise worse than that Citracel and its the Whey Protien. Boy, I ruined some good yogurt with that stuff yesterday! I cant wait for the cravings to go away, but I am craving cottage cheese. I wonder when we can have that???? It looked so good!!!!!!! I cant wait until I loose my best buddy food too. Thanks for sharing and I appreciate you taking the time up with me to share your good news and glad that your feeling well.
