Guest guest
Hi Friends, Hope all is well with each of you and your families. I am feeling better. Surgery 11-09-00. I have lost 34 lbs. and holding. I have had 5 episodes of dumping.....not fun. I thought I was dying one time. I have not eaten sugar or fat at all. Once I accidentally had juice with added sugar. Got sick at work. Then I ate a bite of Mac and cheese.....bad, bad, bad. Then the worst was a bite of my daughters burger. It had no cheese or Mayo, just a little bit of the edge. I was lying on the bathroom floor crying and wailing. I wanted to die. I am not exaggerating. My children wanted to call 911. It lasted about 2 hours. I had sweats, severe intestinal pain, then throwing up and diarrhea. I turned white as a ghost and hot the cold. I never want to do that again. So I am staying on my oatmeal, mashed potatoes, yogurt, soup etc. I am back on actigall after 2 weeks off. That seems to help me. I am starting to get a little energy back. Taking all my vitamins and citricel, sure fills me up! I need to eat at least every 2 hours. I can eat one half cup of oatmeal at a time. A couple of friends have started to notice my weight loss. It took losing 34 lbs for anyone to notice!! LOL. I have only been walking a short way. I will begin at the YMCA at first of the year. I love my baggy clothes! Hey you littermates of November let me know what you are eating! Merry Christmas from Colorado, Debbie Lawson 11-09-00 234/

Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Sorry to hear dear that you've been dumping some! I've done it too, and it aint no picnic (forgive the pun). I've lost 35 lbs, since the 3rd of Nov. and I'm eating quite a few things, I only get sick if I eat too much or try to drink water with my food, (old habits die hard). I don't tolerate chicken breast at all, or pasta and bread!! But, I had a few bites of steak, and I can eat mashed potatoes, corn, dressing, oatmeal, eggs, and toast. ONlY a couple of bites of each, and only one egg, and l slice of toast, (not at the same time!!) People are finally starting to notice my weight loss, too. But Honey, I'm a lot larger than you, so I don't mind. I feel so much better, and I can go for longer periods of time. I actually did the Mall with my dh yesterday, and I was there about 3 hours!! I was dead tired on the way home, but I wouldn't have lasted 20 min. a couple of months ago. (if I'd go at all) You take care!! When I come visit my son, in April, I'm coming to see you too... Okay, remember he lives in Grand Junction! Best wishes, and Holiday Greetings!! Trudy 11-3-00 339/304/145 Re: Debbie's Update Hi Friends, Hope all is well with each of you and your families. Guest guest
Dear Debbie, So sorry to hear about your dumping episodes. I guess that will serve as a reminder to the rest of us to behave about what we're eating. Glad to hear you are back home. Hope Santa is good to you.
