I continued my mission to save the world today at lunch. I went to the

grocery store to get some stuff and when I checked out I spoke with the

checker that I've been visiting with for years - very nice lady.

This past year she's developed really bad arthritis in her hands ... it

looks to me like RA, but I haven't asked specifically. Since the last

time I saw her it looked worse.

So, off I go - telling her about an eating program I'm on (I kinda tend

to stay away from the word " diet " ) and how it's helped with so much.

Mentioned I'd discovered I was allergic to wheat/gluten - how my

stomach hurt after every meal, etc., etc. She paid attention when I

talked about the pain after meals.

I told her the name of the diet and how it sometimes help with joint

problems. It all happened pretty quickly and I'm not sure how much

soaked in. But I figure she might bring it up next time I swing by

there.
