Guest guest
Hi all, After recently deciding that I've had a yeast infection for what seems like most of my life, I'd really like to get rid of it. Its only been through looking after my daughter who's on SCD for global developmental delay and autistic traits that I've realised whats wrong with me. But after reading and reading up on candida I can't decide what's the best way of getting rid of it. Some websites say eat this, others say eat that.... So I'm just wondering if I'd do well to go on the SCD and follow that as strictly as my daughter does or should it be something different?? Everybody seems to have a different opinion. I've had a good read through the protocol on the " candida support " group and it seems even more strict than SCD (if thats possible??)!! I really am not sure which way to go on this one.. Any help would be great! Thanks, Mum to (3 years, NT) and (17 months, GDD)
Guest guest
The probiotic S. Boulardi, a non-colonizing yeast, has helped many people, as have anti-yeast enzymes such as Candex. People with yeast overgrowth may need to reduce the honey in SCD recipes by 75%. There are also natural and Rx anti-fungals that can be used. Guest guest
Hi , I'm taking s.boulardi at the moment actually, because it was prescribed for my youngest daughter and I knew how it worked I figured i'd give it a go. I'm not even on any type of diet yet and just from taking the s.boulardi I've had 2 bouts of diarrhea and now I have thrush (sorry for way too much information). So is this a good sign??? Does this mean its already starting to boot the candida out? Or am I making things worse?? I am definately planning to start an anti-candida diet of some sort so I guess taking s.boulardi will be more helpful at that stage. Also can somebody tell me where I can buy the antifungals for treating candida overgrowth? Things like oil of oregano and grapeseed extract??? I haven't seen these things in the health food stores, do I need to get them from a naturopath or something??? Thanks heaps! > > The probiotic S. Guest guest
, Combining SCD and the advice given to you by would be the best option for addressing the candida problem. Yeast and bacteria live together in a biofilm, they are both dependent on each other. If you get rid of bacteria, then the yeast has a hard time to survive. Another reason is that the bacterial toxin, LPS promotes the growth of yeast. You can check the proof in www.microbialinfluence.com Mimi On 8/15/07, sarahellerbock <no_reply > wrote: > > > > > > > Hi , > I'm taking s.boulardi at the moment actually, because it was > prescribed for my youngest daughter and I knew how it worked I figured > i'd give it a go.
