Constipation Was: Dehydrators

Hi, Mike,

I remember being bewildered about " the muffins " . I was told they

were the nut muffins in the book BTVC. In general, nut flour is not

added until much later, but in the case of constipation, then one nut

flour muffin a day can be tried to help with this. Other things that

may help are the rest of Elaine's constipation protocol, olive oil,

drinking plenty of fluids, the electrolyte drink,

drink.htm

and cooked beets in various forms (usually more advanced, but can be

used for bad constipation)

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/69309.

I don't see any posts confirming this with other people, but for me

personally, drinking more than a couple of glasses of diluted apple

cider or eating more than one serving of pear sauce would move things

along.

Mike,

For my son, the electrolyte drink helped the most. My son couldn't tolerate

honey (salicylates) so I a made it with pomegranate juice instead.

Thank you for your input. So, nut flour muffins CAN be added earlier

on if it becomes necessary, but only in small amounts - correct?

Thanks again for your help.

BTW - does anyone know how to have a " template " signature that is

appended to all messages. ON most forums I frequent (I know this

isn't exactly a forum), I can setup a signature in my profile, so

that at the end of every post is my info.

Since the moderator and members of this site like to have info about

the " patient " at the end of each post, it would really be helpful to

have a feature like that.

Anyone?

I hope someone answers about the template. I know if you have Yahoo

email they can walk you through the template process using a button on

your mail screen. But I post from the list on the web and I have been

told there is no way to do it. It's not sophisticated enough, sigh.

You can always type your post in Word and use a macro and then paste

into your post.

Yes, you have it right about the muffins--1 muffin per day is allowed

early if you are having a constipation problem. If it is tolerated

there is no reason to stop it even after the constipation has ended.
