Guest guest
Hi Bonita: My Daughter can not tolerate honey either can you tell me the recipe for the pomegranate juice? Thank you Re: Constipation Was: Dehydrators Mike, For my son, the electrolyte drink helped the most. My son couldn't tolerate honey (salicylates) so I a made it with pomegranate juice instead. Bonita Constipation Was: Dehydrators Hi, Mike, I remember being bewildered about " the muffins " . I was told they were the nut muffins in the book BTVC. In general, nut flour is not added until much later, but in the case of constipation, then one nut flour muffin a day can be tried to help with this. Other things that may help are the rest of Elaine's constipation protocol, olive oil, drinking plenty of fluids, the electrolyte drink, http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/electrolyte_ drink.htm and cooked beets in various forms (usually more advanced, but can be used for bad constipation) http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/69309. I don't see any posts confirming this with other people, but for me personally, drinking more than a couple of glasses of diluted apple cider or eating more than one serving of pear sauce would move things along. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
, here it is. It came from sheila. Boil approximately 1 quart of water and the cool it. Add about 7.5 fluid ounces of your homemade pear juice (undiluted) to a large container; add 1/4 tsp. of salt and 1/4 tsp.baking soda. Now add the cooled (boiled) water so that you have a total of 1 quart of electrolyte mix. (These amounts are approximated since you'll be making the juice at home - it depends on the amount of carbs in the juice) I did it with pretty much the exact measurements as I really didn't understand the statement about " the amount of carbs " . I tried homemade pear juice and he hated it. The I tried the Knudsen Just Juice Pomegranate and he loved it, but he loves pomegranate juice. bonita Constipation Was: Dehydrators Hi, Mike, I remember being bewildered about " the muffins " .
