Guest guest
Joyce, Welcome to the MGB group. First, before you ask for help, you need to help yourself! Go to clos.net and download the patient manual. All 60 pages of it, and read it. Then, you 'll be able to ask a specific question to the group or to a specific person. Once you've done that and gotten yourself somewhat informed, then if you email the post-ops (privately) that you want to use as contacts, you will be well on your way to this procedure. It takes time and effort and plenty of information gathering for someone to get through the whole ordeal. But that is the way Dr. Rutledge does it, and ultimately it turns out to be the best way, cause everyone knows exactly what is going on before, during and after the MGB. If you're serious, roll up your sleeves. There's lots of work involved. It's your whole future you're deciding about, so it is well worth the effort, right? Good luck to you! Guest guest
Did the doctor have any idea about the yellow skin? If it's not jaundice the only other thing I can think of is lots of beta carotene (eating lots of carrots can turn the skin orange.) I really think you should try the yogurt. mom to -12 SCd 4/23//04 > > hi my son been scd 1 year now for the last couple weeks his been > constant weeing ive took him to doctors to see if he has urine > infection these has been tested negitive...what could bee causing him > to constant weeing..theres been no change in what his eating...also > his tongue is coated white.............he also looks quite yellow skin > the doctor said this is fine AND HIS NOT JAUNDISE..HIS ALSO REGRESSED > IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS STIMMING AGAIN AND NOT VERY VOCAL ...ANY IDEAS > PLEASE...............STILL HAVENT TRIED YOGURT YET.......... > NYOMI...... >

Guest guest
Hi Nyomi, <<his tongue is coated white.............he also looks quite yellow > skin > > the doctor said this is fine AND HIS NOT JAUNDISE..HIS ALSO > REGRESSED > > IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS STIMMING AGAIN AND NOT VERY VOCAL ...ANY IDEAS > > PLEASE...............STILL HAVENT TRIED YOGURT YET.......... >> A white tongue is a common symptom of yeast overgrowth (known as thrush). Yeast overgrowth may be a cause for the stimming and regression. http://pecanbread.com/new/yeast.html http://pecanbread.com/new/yeastsheila.html The yellow colour may indicate either a large amount of orange (beta carotene rich) veggies and or lack of other colour veggies (green etc..). My doctor called this a " vegetarian glow " and wasn't concerned by it. Sheila
