Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am back from Durham and finally on the other side. I have not had any major problems, just some pain in the stomach area...Of course. It only took DR. R 23 minutes. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting any of my fellow MGBers that day but I hope they are all well. I am trying my best to get the fluids in but everything I swallow feels like a rock when it hits my stomach. Jello especially. I have only had chicken broth, Gatorade, apple juice, water , jello and yogurt. It all feels very heavy. Does this feeling ever go away ? I always feel like I am over drinking. But I only take 2 or 3 sips at a time. I don't feel hungry. Just thirsty all the time.I crave a big glass of icy water...lol. well any advise on what I can drink would be great from you post ops. I also feel like I am full of gas. But it doesn't come out.. Lucky for my hubby...I hear...lol I hope to hear some great advise...Thanks Tammy Vance 12/20/

Guest guest
Congrats Tammy. I couldn't eat jello either. It literally hurt my stomach when I did. and most juices hurt my stomach too. Now I can have them but I couldn't for quite a while. Like you, I was thirsty all the time. I felt like if I could just chug a big glass of ice water or if I could just put a garden hose in my mouth to keep rinsing it, I would feel better. But all of those things pass at about two months (yes, I was thirsty for a full two months. One of the things that was helpful for the thirst was popsicles and was sucking on ice. Best wishes.
