Guest guest
I have started giving my daughter the kirkman calcium powder-the one without anything added. She is on about 1/8 of a teaspoon, which is about 250 mg. I also give her the 1/8 tsp of scd goat yogurt and 125 mg of vitamin c-also from kirkman. I am wondering if any of you had found the calcium powder and if you had found ways around that. My daughter eats a whole lot of well steamed squash and peas (I just added), as well as green beans (do I need to take out the beans inside), she also eats quite a bit of lamb. I have tried adding lots of other meats, as well as fruits and she has a monstrous 24 hrs, so I am sticking with what she is on and adding only stage 2-3 steamed peeled veggies. So I can't add fruit to move things through, but are there certain veggies that help more than others? She poops a bit like a deer-lots of little balls. Some days more than others, but every day (unless she reacts to something I have added). Any clues as to what the proportions of squash/green beans to lamb should be? Should I be trying veggies more often, it's usually the meat I try to add-I am scared she will become allergic to lamb-like all of the many other foods. Any clues as to what the> proportions of squash/green beans to lamb should be? >> Since she is constipated I would try to increase her vegetable intake. If she tolerates any fruit this may help relieve some constipation also. Have you seen the constipation protocol at the BTVC website? http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipation ..htm http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipation _continued.htm (If you have any problem opening these links please let me know) Is there any chance she has yeast? Yeast overgrowth can worsen/cause constipation. Sheila, SC Feb. 2001, UC 23 yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of Em and Dan
