Cover vs. Uncover g.milk in dehydrator/Thanks Sheila!

Thanks for your answers.

To answer your question: I have an Excalibur Food Dehydrator.

I've been practicing with the extra UGH milk that had the additives and which is

best that I don't consume ( my husband's been eating the 'practice' yogurt and

enjoying himself).

The temperature range set on 105ºF. I then measure the actual milk while

fermenting and it reads between 102º & 104ºF. If I raise it more i'm afraid of

it getting too hot and not catching it in time.

But I doo feel that It's easier to control than the yougurt makers. Just once I

get to know the machine and the best temp range.

Milk due to arrive today. Hope tomorrow night to be able to start my 1/8 tsp.

and progress.Hope yogurt won't increase blood. Bleeding is still there. Small

drops. Not much. Unlikely hemorrhoids as the the blood is usually with liquid.

Not D type, but opaque sauce like substance. No pain, no bloating, soft or

liquid BM only 1 time a day, on occassion 2 in the same morning, or None like

today.

This has become a is a low symptom but persistent bout....In the mean time I'm

looking like a scare crow (too thin).

Debating if to go up to 5mg Prednisone after 2 &1/2 weeks on 25mg....

What brand/model of dehyrator do you have? You can put the yogurt in

a container with a lid or cover it if you want to be extra careful

(to prevent contamination).

Some swear by glass and others are fine with plastic. That's up to

you.

Since you'll be opening the door occasionally, you should put some

kind of cover that prevents contamination - it does not need to be

sealed tight.

<< One last thing. We all know 24hrs is the minimum fermentation

time. Someone said something about not letting the Goat milk ferment

longer than 25hrs.

I start my fermentaion time once the milk with starter reaches the

correct temperature range. I then let it ferment for 24-29 hours.

Glad to know he likes the yogurt - that's a good sign you're making

it correctly. :)

That's a good temp range.

Are you taking any CLO? I found that this helped the swelling in my

colon.

Do you mean increase the dose to 30 mg? What does your doctor think?

It is worrisome that you are still having soft stool/diarrhea at 25

mg.

Have you been tested for pathogenic bacteria/parasites?
