Guest guest
SO I am wondering just how long I can keep giving my daughter lamb, squash, green beans, 1/8 tsp scd goat yogurt and electrolyte drink. Everytime I try to add anything new she reacts and I just don't know how far along I should go in the suggested stages as far adding new foods. If she can have none of the fruits and doesn't tolerate veggies in stage 3, should I try veggies from stage 3? I just worry about her getting enough variety, as well as her becoming allergic due to overfeeding the same foods ( I believe this is how she came to tolerate so few foods). I also wondered how quickly to increase the goat yogurt. She has been on the 1/8 tsp for around a week. SHe seems to tolerate it quite well-though I am still seeing the deer pooplet balls. She has daily bm's, but they are just little balls all formed into a larger poo. I wonder what could be causing this, perhaps too much meat. Her mood is 100 percent better and she is pretty much sleeping 12 hours nightly...so I don't think its due to a food intolerance... Thanks for your input sheila, she stopped reacting as soon as I stopped the toothpaste...thanks goodness I don't have to re intro! Guest guest
Hi, Susie, You do need to increase the amount of vegetables, either with increased amounts of the ones she can eat, or with some new ones. Beets are on stage 3 and have helped lots of people with constipation. Try some cooked beets cautiously. You can cautiously try other stage 3 veggies as well. The stages are just a guideline. There are different types of squashes you can try, if you haven't already. Many people experience an ability to tolerate more foods after they have been on SCD longer. You might re-try some of the other stage 1 and 2 vegetables after a while. You might try them pureed, if you didn't already and that might help her tolerate them. Yes, do increase the yogurt now, slowly, but be sure to do one thing at a time. I think I would try the beets, first to help the poops. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
