Hi everybody,

Its Goran from Macedonia writing.

Today we start with my sons SCD diet.

We spend many months delaying the start, but no time to wait anymore.

My son is now 4 yold and something mast be done.

For breakfast I give him 2 egs.

I prepare a very tasty chicken broth, have a wonderful taste.

Im going to prepare him a chicken pankakes, he dont like them much but will

try to replase the bread with them.

In my yard at home I have a grape yard, no sprayed with chemicals at all,

matured on 40 degrees this summer, white grape.

I will prepare him the breath without nuts for the intro.

I think that we will be on Intro for 2 days, becoase he dont have any problems

with diarhear etc, and beleive its enough for 2 days.

I know its too early, its only begining, and this is a long run, but I want to

express my gratitude to Sheila Trenholm, , and many others (sorry if I

forgot the names) for their advices, help, understanding, suppert and specialy

to Corinne Vela from Phoenix, USA, for her help, advice and strong will, sending

me many books, and BTVC, which I read and decide to start SCD.

Im proud to be with all of you in this struggle.

When I just remind my self where I was few months ago - nowhere!!!!

Just want to say thanks again and share my start with all of you.

Any simple advicesa and recepies will be appreciated.

My best regards

Goran

I'm new too, but I can tell you that the crock pot is my best friend! I

literally put meat (organic chuck, buffalo tritip, chicken, turkey, lamb-I'm

rotating as my guy easily develops sensitivities) and turn it on in the

morning. Meat and heat-that's it. Dinner is done! I don't even use salt (we

sometimes salt at the table, but usually not) I do high for 1-2 hours and

low for the rest of the day (6-8 hours), though it can be on low all day (10

hours). It's very simple and forgiving on time (it's OK to leave meat in a

bit longer-it stays tender and juicy). I strain and save the liquid as a

rich broth (freeze extra). I do large batches and freeze extras, though my

son is a bottomless pit on this diet, so we rarely have leftovers. He eats

and eats and eats! Frozen veggies are also very simple to prepare. A little

water and heat in a sauce pan is all I do-sometimes a dash of salt. Chicken

(or turkey) pancakes are very simple and quick to make if you have a

blender.

If you find something they like to eat, make them clear their plate before

they get another helping (i.e. with my son, I give a modest meat serving

with a healthy veggie serving. He wants more meat, but doesn't get it until

the plate is cleaned.)

Diluted fruit juice popsicles are a favorite here too (get the smallest mold

possible to limit juice-one serving satisfies, so make it small). I

sometimes use the fruit juice left over after I stew fruit with a little

water on the stove-it's a syrup really, but I dilute it a lot and flavor the

popsicles with it.

Good luck!

Hi Holly,

Thanks for reply...

We are in day 2 and I think lastone, no need for more days as he dont have any

dirhea or other problems...

We start OK, breakfast eggs, diluted grape juice, lunch -broth, very taste,

maybe is mre dense becoase I put in all the meatr from chicken and all carots,

and is nor as soup but is like a carot-ckicken dense meal, but very taste, he

eat the lunch very good, full portion, for diner-hye dant want to eat anything,

I prepare him a meatballs-nothing, he use to eat them before, I prepare him

wonderfull chicken pankakes-no way, as it use before, so I give him badly a

broth with half meatball.

Today, breakfast he is no hungry-why????, I badly give him 2 eggs-as usual,

mean while he likes to drink the diluted grape juice, for lunch he eat his

broth, not very happy but he eat it, now, for dinner, he dont want to eat

anything, I prepare new meatball, pankakes, we were in town 1 h ago, he went in

to restourant and ask for gues what: PANKAKES, but his ussual as he eat before

SCD, I buy him only grilled chicken meat-but no, he dont want to eat, I dont

know how to give him something for dinner???

Maybe to try the broth later again, it looks that he eat it more easily...

Im not sure what to do, from tomorow, when our Intro finished,..

-Should I continue as in phases from 1-5 as directed, to wait day by day and

introduce new food or to give him to eat what he want (but SCD legal-for

sure!!!).

-Should I wait for almond/nut bread for 3 phase or to prepare him this type of

bread to eat right after tomorow???

-Should I act as in phases 1-5 for vegetables and fruits, one by one, or I can

give him (SCD legal).

He is not with diarhea and no constipation (as we start Intro he didnt make

poo, 2 day, today).

Any advice please.....

Regards
