Guest guest
Hi, My son had some dental work today & I'm using this opportunity to restart him on the intro for a few days. He's been on a cup or more of goat yogurt per day. Is it okay to continue with the yogurt while on the intro? We just started dripping it, so should I cut back on the amounts, or should I give him as much as he wants, provided that there are no behavioral or other issues? I remember reading that during the intro, carrots must be thoroughly cooked. Do they need to be boiled for several hours? Thanks, Keli son Ben 9yr old ASD SCD 4 months & amazed at his progress! Is it okay to continue with the yogurt while > on the intro?>> Technically, if you use foods that aren't on the intro it is n't the intro...but if yogurt is well tolerated I think you should continue it. The benefit of going back to the intro will still be there especially if there are some foods that you aren't quite sure if he tolerates them or not. <<We just started dripping it, so should I cut back on > the amounts, or should I give him as much as he wants, provided that > there are no behavioral or other issues?>> If he tolerates well I'd continue it dripped or undripped whichever is best tolerated and enjoyed. <<I remember reading that during the intro, carrots must be thoroughly > cooked. Do they need to be boiled for several hours?>> No, don't boil for hours. Bring them to a boil and simmer for about 4 hours (that's how they are prepared for the chicken soup on the intro.)
