Guest guest
Thanks Flo for the update of your luncheon! Green isn't really my color, but I'll be wearing it for a while until I get past the envy I have of y'all living/being close enough to get together!! One of these days, ole Trude and I are gonna be moseying back Carolina way, and we'll get the chance to actually meet so many of the friends we've made right here on this site. I couldn't agree more about the caliber of people that seem to be MGB'ers. They make me proud to be one of 'em. And you, dear Flo, are a good part of that as well!! Keep telling us of the get togethers. It warms my heart! PhillyJude

Guest guest
Today was a lot of fun! A group of pre and post ops met for lunch and we laughed and exchanged information for several hours here in land. Present were: Moira - A pre-op that we met for the first time. A couple of us wowedher with our pre-op pictures. Pam Mc - Pam looks wonderful! She's lost 62 pounds and it is way noticable! of land - 's a pre-op with a surgery date of January 16 (I hope I got the date right ). 's a labor and deliver nurse from an area hospital and she and Drema knew several of the same people..small world eh? AmyP - The girl looks fantastic! She's thin! She's gorgeous! She's our Amy! Dan - A pre-op from my neck of the woods who dances on Friday!!! If you're at the hospital making checks on Friday's litter, drop by and say hi to Dan and wish him well from Flo! Joyce from Kentucky, my internet daughter. Joyce is in town for the holidays and we wanted to meet. Joyce and I used to chat every day when I was a pre-op and she was a pre-op. Joyce is down about 50 pounds and looks wonderful. It was great to meet her after talking to her on chat and by email so many times! Blair - blew in from the hills of NC. She looks wonderful! Down about 55 pounds or so (Blair, don't kill me if I got that wrong) and looking very much like a civilian. She even let me have half of her lunch! Flo - (That's me) About 92 pounds down...and determined to hit the 100 pound mark! I just want to weigh 199...I'm at 212 so it's definately reachable. Drema - my daughter who looks fantastic and small for the first time in many, many years. She was flashing her before pictures which no one could believe! Tania - I forget how much Tania has lost..but it's a lot and she's looking great! We chatted and chatted and cheered the new guys on and took lots of pictures and there were lots of hugs and well wishes for the pre-ops and lots of hugs for the post-ops who are friends we'd never met in person but friends for sure! It was a great time. We just all have so much in common. Dr. R certainly has picked a cream of the crop kinda gang and I'm as grateful for my MGB friends as I am for having had the surgery. Until next time gang... Flo from land headed to Florida in the morning

Guest guest
Betty, I would love to meet you as well. Rest assured, there's no way we'd pass up the chance to meet you, another of the favorites who were there for us when we were just the new kids on the block. Amy Poe. She has such a huge hug coming, she better start bracing herself from now. And Flo. And Glo. And too many others to mention. Trude and I have discussed this, and we're doing this trip for the picnic next fall! We're hugging everyone! Take care, dear heart. Guest guest
, sweetheart, you probably be should be emailing people privately, meaning to their own personal email address. ( I will send you my contact sheet though, so you don't need to write to me privately.) Most post-ops are more than willing to help out the newbies, but want to be asked privately. For all the new folks out there, HEAR THIS! (Sheesh I get tired of writing this!) PhillyJude
