Well Gang,

I did something really really hard tonight. I told my mother what I want to do

about my weight. Ahem... Cryin' out loud! I'm 50 years old and STILL tell my

mom everything! <grin>

Her first reaction was " No Way! " Of course she has seen publicity of bad WLS's.

And this is what she was thinking I wanted to do. So I told her this is

something different, and explained the difference between an RNY and MGB. Even

told her I could provide someone who is a year out from surgery that she can

talk with in person, face to face. Ended with her saying she would like to see

some information about the procedure, and I told her, as a matter of fact......

<grin> I can get it. So the ninth I am going to take her copy of the Manual.

And maybe arrange to visit with my contact. Although she already knows I don't

have to have her permission, I'll do it whether she agrees or not! <grin>

My husband was a lot easier!

Hugs,

Yea but no matter how old we get it is nothing like have our mother's

consent and help... You did right by including her. We never get too old

to be children to our mothers...
